This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.»
While I have to admit that I still haven’t see the second chapter of the saga (relax, it’s on my Netflix Queue, so I’ll fix that on the weekend) I am a big fan of the first film (yep, even with the Darth Maul cameo and all) and I’ll be ready for this new one.
The buzz on Wondercon was very strong, especially about Lin Shaye’s preformance, so, let’s hope that Leigh Whannell’s script delivers the scares !
The cast includes Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell, Hayley Kiyoko, and of course, Lin Shaye.
