«Road Games» : A creepy thrilling detour…

Road Games posterTrying to get home with no other means available, Jack finds himself hitchhiking on the French countryside. Not being fluent on what is known as «The Language Of Love” the English tourist meets Véronique, a local girl with plans to travel the world, and with almost the same bad luck as Jack doing it. Time passes and the couple is still stuck on the same spot, which makes the girl wonder if the reason that the cars are not stopping is because that stretch of the road is rumored to be the hunting grounds of a serial killer.

road games 5After spending a night on the woods and more unsuccessful attempts to get a ride, Jack climbs aboard the car of the only person that stops, despite the protests of  Véronique. Some miles later on the road, claiming that the ferry that travels from France To England already closed for the day,  Grizard, the kind (but clearly kind of weird) driver invites the couple to spend the night at his house in company of his wife, promising to take them to the ferry the next morning.

«Road Games» : Una intrigante desviación…

Road Games posterBuscando llegar a casa y con pocos recursos disponibles, Jack se encuentra buscando aventón sin mucho éxito en una carretera rural de Francia. No teniendo mucho conocimiento del conocido como “El idioma del amor” el turista inglés se topa con Véronique, una chica local que también busca conocer otros mundos, con la misma mala suerte que Jack, llegando a la conclusión de que tal vez nadie los levanta porque se rumora que por ese camino ronda un asesino serial.

road games 5Después de pasar una noche a la intemperie, y muchos intentos fallidos por conseguir raite, Jack acepta la invitación de un extraño sujeto que se detiene, muy a pesar de las protestas de Véronique. Alegando que los ferris que salen de Francia hacia Inglaterra ya cerraron, Grizard, el amable (pero claramente medio trastornado) buen samaritano los invita a pasar la noche en su hogar y en compañía de su esposa, prometiendo llevarlos al puerto al día siguiente.
